How I Prepared Quick Healthy Family Meals for My Family?

Every year I had to prepare a special whole chicken grill for my son’s birthday. Before his birthday, I told him that this year I will not make a whole chicken for you. He agreed and told me to prepare some quick healthy family meals instead.

I spent some time to find out what are some healthy meals for my family. This time though I came out of the idea of grilled chicken, yet I must choose something that can be grilled and done quickly. But the item should be healthy for kids and liked by my son, which I’d like to term as a healthy and delicious meal.


What can I cook for my family for lunch?

I looked for several options to prepare a healthy and delicious meal for the lunch of my family. Then I search for some family dinner menu ideas and got my ideas for quick healthy family meals.

I sort out a list that is quick to cook but healthy and delicious. Then I decided on a menu for this special day:

  1. Lobster Thermidor (Own Style)
  2. Special Chicken Roast
  3. Plain pulao
  4. Mayo salad

Lobster Thermidor Fusion

Lobster thermidor is an Italian dish. Usually, the head is removed from the lobster for Thermidor. But, here in this recipe, I kept the head. It gives a gorgeous look of lobster. My family members also appreciated the look and taste of lobster thermidor. I add some ingredients as per my choice. So I named it Lobster Thermidor Fusion.

Ingredients

  • 4 Lobsters (150-200gm each)
  • 100 gm Butter
  • 8-10 Garlic Cloves
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger-Garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Zest
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 1 teaspoon Chili flakes
  • 1 teaspoon salt

How I Prepare Quick Healthy Family Meals for My Family?

Cook Time: 8 minutes
Total Time: 18 minutes

Ingredients

  • 4 Lobsters (150-200gm each)
  • 100 gm Butter
  • 8-10 Garlic Cloves
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger-Garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Zest
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 1 teaspoon Chili flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Instructions

  1. Remove the hard shell covering the head of the lobsters.  Remove the black dirtbag from the top center of the head of the lobster. Cut the body
    of the lobster at the center after the head and before the tail using a sharp
    knife keeping the head and tail intact.
  2. Heat butter in the frying pan with low heat. Add the crushed garlic cloves when butter is melted. Fry garlic until an aroma or fragrant comes up. Add lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, and chili flakes. After one minute when the color of the garlic pieces turns golden, take the pan out of the burner.
  3. Add two-third of the butter-fried garlic to the head and in and outside the cut meat of the lobsters. Then apply garlic-ginger paste over the lobsters’ meat and
    head portion.
  4. Preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes at 200°Celsius.
  5. Put the Lobsters on the grill tray of the Air Frier. You may not put more than 2 big size lobsters at a time, as I have used. Set temperature at 160 degrees and
    grill for 8-10 minutes.
  6. When the color of the meat of lobsters becomes golden, take those out from the grill tray and take them to a serving flat dish. Follow the same process for the remaining lobsters.
  7. Serve the Thermidor with Pulao, chicken roast, and salad.

Step 1

Step 4

Grill in the Air Fryer

First, preheat the air fryer for 5 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius.

Put the Lobsters on the grill tray of the Air Fryer. You may not put more than 2 big size lobsters at a time, as I have used. Set temperature at 160 degrees and grill for 8-10 minutes.

When the color of the meat of lobsters becomes golden, take those out from the grill tray and take them to a serving flat dish. Follow the same process for the remaining lobsters.

Serve the Thermidor with fried rice and salad.

Like every mom, I must think about how I can make my family healthy. I try to maintain the following to keep my family healthy:

  • Always keep my kitchen clean.
  • Try to buy fresh and organic food items.
  • Use sunflower oil instead of vegetable oil
  • Use air fryer to make quick healthy family meals.

Kid’s birthday is incredibly special for a mom. I believe every mom wants to make her children happy and provide healthy meals. You can make your time to prepare some good foods during special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, or other festivals.
