Do you love eating fish? Well, I don’t like eating fish that much. But some of my family members do. So, I had to look for an easy fish item to prepare for lunch. After doing some research I found an easy yet healthy fish recipe to cook, which is high in nutrients too! 

You must be wondering what it should be. Well, this is a tropical fish named Mahi Mahi fish. The mild-tasting white flesh of Mahi Mahi fish is solid and easy to cook. You can cook the fish by any method. I prefer cooking in an air fryer which makes it healthier and leaves a flaky inside with a bit crunchy outside.

  • 4 fish filets
  • Cooking spray
  • Salt
  • Black Pepper
  • Butter
  • Seasoning
  • Lime juice
  • Garlic powder
  • Paprika
  • chili powder (2 tsp)
  • Onion powder (½ tsp)
  • Cumin powder (1 tsp)

Instructions

  1. For the first step, take the fish filets from your refrigerator and dry them out the filets completely.
  2. Melt the butter in a small pot, then add the herbs, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and the juice of a lemon.
  3. combine black pepper, salt, Paprika, and garlic powder altogether. Give it a good mix. 
  4. Preheat the air fryer for a few minutes, 5 minutes would be enough. 380 degrees Fahrenheit temperature is the best for Mahi mahi in the air fryer. Before using the fryer to cook food, apply non-stick cooking spray to the inside of the fryer. 
  5. Now, air fry the seasoned filets for up to 10 to 12 minutes. Flipping halfway through the cooking period is essential. A sufficient amount of spacing between fish filets is a must! When the fish is done cooking, it will be easy to flake with a fork. In addition to that, the fish will have a golden color.

Lemon garlic butter seasoning

Melt the butter in a small pot, then add the herbs, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and the juice of a lemon.

Paprika seasoning

combine black pepper, salt, Paprika, and garlic powder altogether. Give it a good mix. 

Fajita spice seasoning

You will need these items below: 

  • Chili powder (2 tsp)
  • Onion powder (½ tsp)
  • Cumin powder (1 tsp)
  • Sugar (1 tsp)
  • Garlic powder (1 tsp)
  • Salt and pepper

Mix all of them in a bowl, and add a freshly squeezed lime to get the best seasoning in the world!

For today’s recipe, I am going to use this fajita seasoning. In a bowl, mix the fajita seasoning with the fish filets. Ensure the fish is coated on all sides.
