We eat many types of rice with vegetables. Here I described 3 different types of rice or pulao. Those are spinach rice recipe or we can call spinach pulao, carrot rice recipe or carrot pulao, and lemon rice recipe. Hope you will enjoy the different types of rice recipes.

Lemon rice recipe

Preparation time 15 minutes
Cooking time 25 minutes
Total time 40 minutes
Servings 2

Ingredients for the lemon rice recipe

  • 2 cups rice, cooked
  • 50gm butter
  • 1 tablespoon lemon rind
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

Process

  • Heat butter in a non-stick frying pan.
  • Add cooked rice to the butter and fry the rice for 2 minutes.
  • Then add salt to the rice.
  • Add lemon juice, lemon rind, and sugar to the rice.
  • Stir it very well and keep it for 3 minutes.
  • Switch off the burner.
  • Spread 1 tbsp butter over the lemon rice.
  • Lemon rice recipe is ready to serve.
  • Serve the lemon rice with pomfret fry or any kind of fish or meat.

Spinach rice recipe

Preparation time 15 minutes
Cooking time 25 minutes
Total time 40 minutes
Servings 2

Ingredients

  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • 1 cup spinach, sliced
  • ½ cup carrot, sliced
  • 2 tablespoon  cooking oil
  • 50g red onion, sliced
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 4g cinnamon
  • 4g cloves
  • 30g Green Chilli
  • 2 cups of water
Spinach Rice
Spinach Rice or Spinach Pulao

Process

  • Heat oil in a deep cooking pan to medium heat.
  • Fry cinnamon, cloves, and onion. Stir it and after 1 minute add ginger paste and salt.
  • Add carrot and spinach slices. Stir on medium heat and cover with a lid. After 5 minutes, stir again.
  • After that add rice and stir it. Add 4 cups hot water and cover with a lid.
  • Simmer it on low heat after 10 minutes add green chili.
  • The spinach rice recipe is ready to serve.
  • Serve the spinach rice recipe with chicken or beef.

Carrot rice recipe

Preparation time 15 minutes
Cooking time 25 minutes
Total time 40 minutes
Servings 4

Ingredients 

  • 2 cups of rice
  • ½ cup carrot, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 3 sticks cinnamon
  • 4 pieces cardamom
  • 1/4 teaspoon saffron
  • 4 cups of coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoon onion, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon mawa
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon clarified butter
Carrot rice
Carrot Rice Or Carrot Pulao

Process

  • Slice the carrot into julienne cut with a vegetable grater.
  • Wash and keep aside.
  • Wash rice and rinse it very well. Keep the rice aside.
  • Soak saffron in the ¼ cup of milk and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry onion until golden brown.
  • Heat clarified butter in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat.
  • Fry carrot sliced for 2 minutes and take out from the pan. Keep aside
  • Add cinnamon, cardamom, ginger paste, and garlic paste to the pan and stir it.
  • After 2 minutes add rice to the pan. Fry the rice for 2 minutes.
  • Add coconut milk, salt, saffron, and fried carrot slice to the rice.
  • Cover with a lid and cook it over medium-low heat.
  • When water dries up, switch off the burner.
  • Add mawa and fried onion (beresta) over the rice.
  • The Carrot rice recipe is ready to serve.
  • Serve the rice with chicken or beef.
