The cake should attract your friends and family members during the family party or on the tea table. You can, however, make it more attractive to children with a decorated look.

The recipe is discussed in two steps: first the preparation of the cake and then the decoration, which is called frosting.  The process is written is a simple form. You can also look at the tips after the end of the process.

As the Red velvet cake contains butter, sugar, egg, buttermilk, milk powder, cream cheese etc., the cake becomes high caloric. Thus, the quantity may be limited to those under food restriction and other dietary conditions.

Tips:

For better sifting of flour and milk mixtures, use a thin net sifter, which is usually available in a plastic crockery shop.

Put your egg beater at high speed while mixing butter, sugar, and eggs. But use the lower speed, after adding the flour mixture to it.

Use plastic bowls if you use an electric beater. However, you can use a spatula if you have a practice of quick beating with a spatula.

Do not cut/slice the cake until it comes to room temperature, otherwise, sides will break while cutting.

For checking, whether the cake is properly baked or not, insert a thin stick inside. If it comes clean, the cake is baked properly, if not, heat further 5-10 minutes.
